Sarmen Almond + Miguel Ortiz
ID1Introduccion (Hurgar-Dig) Belfast UK– Mexico City 19th October 2011
Sarmen Almond, will be performing with the collaboration of Miguel Ortiz, programmer and composer based in Belfast, UK.
Introducing a performance demands a huge understanding of the roots and intimate reasons that made the composer to conceive the idea.
Hurgar means to dig, rummage, to look for something and explore it deeply. ID1 wants to explore the inside of the body. The performer on stage will be guided by her own instinct, following the channels of the physical body as passages showing what lives there.
The inner voice needs to be known before dealing with the external body and mind in the following movements of the piece.
ID1 wants to show the invisible, working with the internal possibilities in the production of sound, voice, that subsequently will influence us expressing emotions and in the communication with other as individuals.
The audience will se a non-traveller body. The performer will be standing, floating, coming back to the centre every time a sound surprises her. Inner sounds, electronic sound and human voice will be blended for a nuclear composition and introduction of Identities.
